KALDERETANG BAKA | THE BEST & EASIEST TO FOLLOW BEEF CALDERETA RECIPE
BEEF CALDERETA is a type of meat stew tomato-based Filipino dish. It is similar to Afritada, Mechado, and Menudo. The difference of these dishes is the meat they use, in Kaldereta they use goat meat traditionally, however, these days they prefer to cook it with beef, pork or chicken as it's more available in the market. Afritada uses chicken, Mechado uses beef while Menudo uses pork & liver. Best served with steaming hot white rice and patis with red chili and a squeeze of kalamansi. Ingredients for boiling beef neck: 5 cloves garlic 1 tsp of peppercorn Water (enough to submerge the beef) Ingredients: 4 cloves garlic 1 medium-sized red onion 1kg beef neck (pre-cooked) 2 tsp of coarse salt 1/2 tsp of ground pepper 30g of oyster sauce 300ml sprite 500g of tomato sauce 85g or small can of liver spread 1 sachet of sky flakes 1 big potato 1 big carrot 2 pcs medium red bell peppers Enjoy watching & happy cooking!
